  • What this means for you: You haven't lost money, but you’ve lost the leverage to demand "above-ask" prices without justification.
  • The "Paper Wealth" Reality: Sellers still have record levels of home equity. Even if you didn't sell at the absolute "top" of the hype, your home is likely worth significantly more than it was five years ago.
